How to enroll for West Point IT text message alerts – Staff & Faculty

This is for West Point Staff & Faculty only. Cadets are auto enrolled and use a different phone number.

  1. Text the word ENROLL to (845) 219-1916
  2. You will receive a response that says, “This is the WPSTAFF CIO/G6 for SignalVine. To complete your signup for this system, please respond with the following information. Text BEATNAVY to move to start registration.”  Follow those instructions by typing BEATNAVY (no spaces) to continue.
  3. Please enter your first name as you want it to appear in messages to your device.
  4. Please enter your last name as you want it to appear in messages to your device.
  5. Please enter your full @westpoint.edu e-mail address (i.e. – john.smith@westpoint.edu).
  6. Please enter your major activity (i.e. – WPSTAFF, DEAN, USMAPS, DAD, USCC, ODIA, USMAPS etc.)
    1. For USMAPS  please type it this way exactly.  DO NOT type Prep School or any other data as this will place you in the wrong group
  7. Please enter your department (i.e. – G1, G2, CME, SE, DMI, NONE, etc.)
    1. USMAPS has not been broken down by activity, so for this entry please enter whatever office you represent such as S1, S2, Athletics, etc.
  8. If at any time you would like to cancel your subscription to this service, simply text the word “stop” to any message received.

This is a rolling enrollment so anyone can be enrolled at any date and time.
