Troubleshooting Guide: NIPR Access via CITRIX browser/Virtual Machine

Clients running on the WREN will no longer have access to certain restricted sites unless they use either the CITRIX browser or Desktop VM. Using this system requires users to obtain an NAE (North American East) NIPR.ds.army.mil account. These are created and managed by the Fort Drum NEC.

FT Drum runs a daily script that exports data from ATCTS and will disable any account out of compliance. The requirements for compliance are to have the following uploaded into your ATCTS profile:

  1. Current AUP signed by the user (annual requirement)
  2. Current DOD Cyber Awareness Training certificate (annual requirement)
  3. Login activity (every 30 days)
  4. NIPR SAAR (2875) signed by all required parties. This is currently not being enforced for accounts under the bulk creation as they understand we have thousands of SAARS to process, but will be in the future so users still need to process a 2875 and upload it. **This will be required now for any new accounts created**

Warning emails are sent to users at 14 days and 7 days out from expiration. Below are examples of the email that will be sent to their mail.mil account. We suggest setting up forwarding of @mail.mil to your @westpoint.edu account to avoid missing important notifications like these.
