USMA Accountability – Self Reporting

General Information

  • The application technology uses a Microsoft Office service called PowerApps
  • Recommended Browsers are the latest versions of Edge or Chrome
  • There are 2 ways to access the application:
    • Going to the URL in a browser window on your computer
    • PowerApps App on your mobile device
    • Note: Do not download the PowerApps App from the Company Store in Windows. Using the PowerApps App will only work on smartphones.
  • To access using your mobile device or iPad, you must enroll your device and meet the compliance policies
  • If you are unable to self-report, contact your Accountability Officer

Log in to the application on your computer

  • Click the following URL: USMA Accountability – Power Apps
  • On first logon you may need to allow permissions for the components used for the application. If any of the components read ‘Fix Permissions’ click and log in with your @westpoint.edu account and then click ‘Allow’.                                                                     

Report your Status

  1. Verify Your Name in the top right and left navigation.
  2. To update your status click the + sign to the right of your name
  3. Select the appropriate duty status for the day from the ‘Duty Status’ Drop-down. Add remarks if applicable.
    • Note: If quarantined, indicate the start and end date of the quarantine period and reason (e.g. Travel, Close Contact, etc.)
  4. Click the Submit Button. Validate your last entry has been updated.

Create an App for access or Pin to your Taskbar

  1. Open an Edge Browser Window
  2. Go to the accountability app: USMA Accountability – Power Apps
  3. Click the ellipses in the top right beside your name/picture
  4. Scroll down and click ‘Apps
  5. In the fly out, click ‘Install this site as an app
  6. A pop-up box will appear       
  7. Click ‘Install
  8. After you Install, a window will display with the application. Click the square in the top right corner to maximize.               
  9. When you close the app using the X at the top right, there are 3 ways to access:
    • Search
      • Click the magnifying glass in your task bar and type: USMA
      • At the top of the Window click ‘Apps
      • You should see the USMA Accountability App
      • Click the App in the left navigation                                            
    • Search for in your Apps/Programs
      • Click the Windows icon in the Taskbar
      • You should see ‘USMA Accountability App at the top in recently added OR scroll down to find it
      • Click the Application                                           
    • Pin to your Taskbar
      • Click the magnifying glass in your task bar and type: USMA
      • At the top of the Window click ‘Apps
      • You should see the USMA Accountability App
      • Click ‘Pin to Task bar                                               
      • You should now see the application in your taskbar where you can click to launch

Access from your Mobile Device or iPad

  • Note:
    • To access using your mobile device or iPad, you must enroll your device and meet the compliance policies
    • Log in on your computer prior to accessing on your mobile device will provide a smoother transition
  1. Install Microsoft PowerApps using Google Play or the Apple Store
  2. Launch PowerApps
  3. Log in with your West Point email address
  4. After you log in, the app should default to ‘My Apps’ and you will see USMA Accountability App
  5. Click the ellipses
