How to Connect to WREN_Guest SSID

The WREN_Guest network is for devices that can not use 802.1X authentication protocol for device authentication (e.g. Xbox, Playstation, Smart Speaker, Android 11 devices, etc) and therefore have to be registered manually.  Follow the steps below to register the device you would like to connect.

West Point guests or users with guest accounts ( who need access to the WREN_Guest network; sponsors may register the guests device for use on the WREN_Guest network

  • Connect to the WREN SSID (Do NOT use the device you are going to connect to the WREN_Guest Network)
  • Go to
  • Login with your credentials:

  • Click on the button to Add a device:

  • Enter a name for the device and the MAC address, as well as a description to help you remember what kind of device it is:

*Note: Device names cannot contain a space – this will cause the error “Error Loading Page”

  • Click Submit. (The status shown for successfully added devices is “pending”. A “registration failed” message will display if the device failed to add)
  • Then using the newly registered device, connect to the WREN_Guest network
    using the password found here
  • You can register up to 5 devices with your user account. If you have questions about troubleshooting use link at the bottom of the page that says Help.

    If you get an error message stating “Error Loading Page” it could be due to special characters in the name of the device. You may use letters, numbers, and spaces in the device name field.
